GOLF COURSE INTRODUCTION

EUROPEAN TOUR -LEVEL CONDITIONS ALL SUMMER LONG

Due to long and freezing winters, course maintenance in Finland is a challenging all-year-round task, requiring ultimate expertise.

Linna Golf's main greenkeeper is Risto Tidenberg, whose roots in course maintenance go back to 1991 when he completed his specialized studies in golf course maintenance at the Mäntsälä School of Horticulture. The award-winning work of the field team is based on unparalleled experience and expertise, as well as an uncompromising dedication to taking care of small details on the field and in the training areas.

Linna Golf was the first course in Finland to apply the Penn A4 bent grass, which provides a very fine leaf texture, high density and an exceptional cold and humidity tolerance and disease resistance. The greens roll throughout the summer at app. Stimpmeter 9-11 feet, meeting the strict standards set by the European Tour. The greens are always hand cut.
